Australia: BAYWA R.E. build their third solar farm of 106 MW outside Mildura, Victoria
BayWa r.e. again relied on its experienced transaction team headed by Daniel Gäfke, Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Solar Pte Ltd, Daniel Parsons, Director of BayWa r.e. Solar Projects Pty Ltd, project manager Krish Karimbil and legal counsels Jaime Casanova and Arndt Herrmann (on secondment from Pegasus Legal). Gerald Arends, Director of Pegasus Legal, advised BayWa r.e. during the EPC negotiations. BEON was advised by its internal team led by the senior corporate solicitor Tony Kampus.
The Yatpool Solar Farm will be one of six large-scale solar projects in Victoria and will have a positive impact on the local economy and the Victorian electricity market. Its sister project, the Karadoc Solar Farm, is the largest solar farm in Victoria and began feeding into the grid as of late October 2018.
