Pegasus Legal Community Engagement: Sponsorship for Australia’s premier Solar Car Racing Team — Clenergy TeamArrow
Pegasus Legal proudly announces that it has entered into a sponsorship with Clenergy TeamArrow — Australia’s premier solar car racing team. Clenergy TeamArrow was the highest ranked Australian finisher in the 2013 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge and has completed the 2015 Abu Dhabi Solar Challenge where it won the mechanical design award. It recently joined forces with leading renewable energy supplier Clenergy. Clenergy Team Arrow is currently preparing for the 2015 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge.
Clenergy TeamArrow is showcasing the power and resourcefulness of a dedicated team of volunteers, supported by commercial and research organisations. Its continued success in solar car races is testimony to the skills assembled in the Brisbane-based team: Competitors in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge face a range of complex issues such as finding a way to deliver optimal efficiency from the vehicle and complex power-electronics systems all while dealing with the harsh Australian outback conditions. These challenges are addressed through the development of world class Australian technologies, many of which have made their way from previous challenges into consumer motoring products.
Anthony Prior, President of Clenergy TeamArrow, notes: “Our organisation has matured over the last two years and the technology in our solar car becomes ever more refined. Hand in hand go more complex legal and commercial arrangements supporting our organisation. We are delighted that Pegasus Legal have agreed to sponsor us with their legal support on our major commercial arrangements. Gerald Arends and Swati Johri from Pegasus Legal have delivered an enormous number of solar projects around the world and in Australia and are an ideal fit for us. We hope for a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
Announcing the sponsorship, Gerald Arends, Director of Pegasus Legal, observes: “The work undertaken by Clenergy TeamArrow is awe-inspiring — against all the odds they consistently perform well against a field of competitors many of whom are better funded and better equipped. Being part of the community that supports Clenergy TeamArrow is a real privilege. As Anthony noted, we are heavily involved in renewable energy projects and — in our view — one of the so far untapped potentials for carbon reduction accounts for about one third of the primary energy usage in OECD countries: transport. We are very excited about the opportunity to work with Anthony and his team at the “coal face” of changing the way we move about.”
The 2015 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge commences on 18 October 2015.
